Ernestomeda at the new Eataly point of sale in Paris

Opened on 12 April, Eataly's first point of sale in France contains an Ernestomeda kitchen custom-designed by Giuseppe Bavuso in its classroom.

Ernestomeda confirms its position as one of the key  Eataly brands with its participation in the new Eataly point of sale in Paris, created in partnership with Galeries Lafayette, which officially opened its doors to the public on 12 April in the Marais, between Rue Sainte Croix de la Bretonnerie and Rue du Temple.
This continues the partnership between Ernestomeda and Oscar Farinetti's brand - launched in 2017 with participation at FICO Eataly World, the globe's largest food park, opened in Bologna, and continued with the company's inclusion in Eataly Stockholm, the point of sale opened in Sweden last year - soon to be extended to Canada, with the upcoming opening of Eataly Toronto.

In the classroom, the Ernestomeda kitchen model, custom-designed by Giuseppe Bavuso for Eataly Paris is a genuine  Icon, one of the company's leading projects, with an island layout and specially customised to suit the cookery school's needs.
The model   custom-created by Bavuso for the Paris point of sale embodies a new concept in teaching, which moves away from the conventional idea to embrace cooking and eating together and the sharing of the kitchen. The Eataly Paris Icon comprises a large counter with eight cooking stations including sink and oven, one of them for pupils with disabilities, to enable all the school's ""apprentices"" to cook together with the chef and not just to learn his secrets in theory.
Once the dishes have been prepared, the counter is transformed into a large dining table thanks to a series of chopping boards which slot into place over the cooking/washing zones, enabling every student to taste the results of the lesson which has just ended.

The counter-island features da tall units in  Lime Flat Matt   finish with Icon 22 doors and Gap handles /strong>, Camel White Corian worktop and veneered Oak chopping-boards, chosen especially for Eataly to match the colour and finish of the classroom floor. The composition is completed by two elegant InLine wall units in Fumé finish and the roomy cupboards with Air doors, which provide air exchange inside units even when closed.
