Corian® Nouvel Lumieres by Jean Nouvel
Jean Nouvel , one of the greatest masters of international architecture, has designed and constructed "Corian® Nouvel Lumieres" , a living environment with extremely innovative features in association with DuPont™ and Ernestomeda .
Creative lighting solutions and advanced domotic technologies appear in the living, kitchen, bathroom and sleeping areas, all arranged to be communicating and above all with strong reciprocal interaction. And the contamination of the spaces and functions of the various zones is the conceptual basis underlying this proposal for real evolution in contemporary living , presented to mark the Milan Salone del Mobile furniture show in April 2007.
The plastic qualities of solid surface Corian® by DuPont™ and the unrivalled technical, stylistic and technological skills Ernestomeda has developed in the area of contemporary kitchen design have come together to breathe life into the project. All the elements presented (panels, surfaces, finishes, etc.) are in Corian®, which appears here in a variety of unusual applications, the ideal container for revolutionary domotic design features, touch-control panels and heating membranes .
The chosen language is that of multisensoriality . Surfaces engage in original dialogues in light, and house sophisticated high-tech applications.
In the kitchen itself, thanks to the experience contributed by Ernestomeda , new aesthetic criteria have been implemented, with futuristic experimentation in materials and finishes. It is clear that the company has viewed this project as an effective way of defining the new dimension in lifestyles, in constant, unstoppable transformation.
The doors of the cupboard and wall cabinets are highly-translucent Corian® panels, supported around the edges by a Plexiglas frame . The backlit rear panels create extraordinary Chinese shadow effects with the shapes of the utensils inside.
In the island, the sink is integral in the Corian® work-top, which extends to form a projecting peninsula with snack-top, supported at the end by two white-varnished metal legs.
All the Attitude line appliances included in the cooking section (oven, ceramic hob, dishwasher, etc.) belong to the lines produced by Scholtès , another partner on the project.
With "Corian® Nouvel Lumieres" , interior design gains major new contents.
